HSBC has increased its maximum residential loan amounts across a range of loan-to-value bands.
The changes apply to lending secured against houses, with the bank saying they are intended to provide greater flexibility on higher-value cases.
HSBC has also aligned its limits for additional borrowing applications, subject to valuation.
The lender has not changed its existing loan limits for flats.
Remortgage applications remain subject to a maximum loan-to-value ratio of 90%.
