Hinckley & Rugby Building Society

The Hinckley & Rugby Building Society has won the East Midlands 2013 Chamber Award for Commitment to People Development and now goes forward to the national final.

Leicestershire’s sole finalist in the Chamber Awards 2013, Hinckley & Rugby is also the only building society to feature in the awards.

The mutual won the regional award for its 100% commitment to being a “great employer”, where careers develop at all levels through support and training for nationally-recognised qualifications.

Chris White, Hinckley & Rugby chief executive, said: “We are thrilled to win this award and to go forward to the national finals alongside the best employers and firms in Britain.

“We strive to be an employer of choice, which people actively wish to work for because they share our fundamental desire to provide outstanding customer service.

“Once these already impressive people join our staff they are given all the support and encouragement they need to thrive and develop in an environment where everyone can progress and become highly skilled.

“A great workforce inevitably leads to a great experience for customers, which ensures the Society is highly recommended to family and friends. That’s how we grow and prosper.”

The national winners of the Chamber Awards 2013 will be announced on November 28.
