Howden upgrades Cardiff office to support growth plans

Published on

Howden has announced its move to a larger office in Cardiff as it plans for further growth.

Located on the ground floor of Global Reach, Dunleavy Drive in the Bay region, the new office space signifies a statement of confidence from Howden in its South Wales operations, which has grown by 24 staff since it first launched in the region in 2023.

In its first year, the staff doubled in size, with a current team of 25 across its Swansea and Cardiff offices. This growth is also reflected in Howden’s ambitious targets as they aim to become one of the largest broking companies in South Wales, now that their market presence is consolidated.

During its time in South Wales, Howden has not only grown in size but has increased its ties with the local community, from fundraising to local sponsorships.

Most recently, Howden raised £3,800 for local charities through hosting two British & Irish Lions watch party events in Cardiff and Swansea, alongside recently sponsoring the Rest Bay Nipper’s Carnival.

ABOVE AND BEYOND

Gary Stevens, Regional Managing Director, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase the confidence we have in our Cardiff office and how much they have achieved in the last few years.

“Our team has continuously gone above and beyond for our clients in supporting them across a range of insurance solutions, as well as giving back to numerous local community groups and charities.

“We are proud to be broadening the possibilities for Howden in South Wales with this new location and look forward to continuing our growth and surpassing many more milestones in the coming years.”
