LMS expands National Property Transaction Network

Published on

LMS has announced a major expansion of its National Property Transaction Network (NPTN) as 42 new organisations – spanning tech providers and law firms – join the initiative to help transform the way property transactions are carried out.

The move follows the pilot launch of NPTN in late 2024, which showed clear improvements in speed, certainty and efficiency across the home-buying and selling process.

The growing momentum marks a significant step towards building a truly digital, interoperable ecosystem where secure, authenticated data flows seamlessly between all parties.

The NPTN framework is supported by the Property Data Trust Framework (PDTF) and the Open Property Data Association (OPDA), ensuring data can be reused safely and effectively across platforms. For brokers and their clients, this promises fewer delays, reduced duplication, and less risk of transactions falling through.

The recently launched NPTN Sandbox is already testing key use cases in a safe environment, including digital ID and qualified electronic signature (QES) deeds, with input from lenders, legal partners and technology firms.

SHAPING THE FUTURE

Nick Chadbourne (main picture), CEO of LMS, said: “The stakeholders adopting NPTN aren’t just participating – they’re proactively shaping the future of property transactions. Their early adoption has been critical in helping us prove what’s possible when smart data flows securely and seamlessly between platforms, without restrictions or silos.

“We’re incredibly grateful to every partner who has joined us at this stage. By working together with shared goals and transparent standards, we’re building an ecosystem that benefits everyone – faster processes, better data, and ultimately a simpler experience for the customer.”
