Hope Capital elevates senior leadership team to director level

Hope Capital Property Finance has strengthened its leadership structure by promoting its entire senior leadership team to director-level roles, as the lender marks its 15th year in business.

The move, announced on International Women’s Day, is designed to support the company’s continued growth while reinforcing its governance framework and long-term strategy.

Following the recent promotion of Kate Cowan to chief financial and operating officer, the lender has confirmed that the members of its senior leadership team will now operate at director level.

The newly structured leadership team includes Jemma Wood as director of portfolio, asset and risk; Kim Parker as director of lending operations and commercial strategy; Laura Carr as director of underwriting, compliance and stakeholder relations; Sarah Butler as director of brand, communications and engagement; and Stephanie Kinsella as director of people and technology.

Collectively, the directors represent nearly three decades of service within Hope Capital Property Finance.

The lender said the appointments reflect the experience and continuity within the business, with the team having played key roles in developing the firm’s operations, broker relationships and market presence.

Under the revised structure, the directors will increasingly focus on long-term strategy, governance, systems scalability, capital protection and sustainable expansion, rather than day-to-day operational management.

Jonathan Sealey, chief executive officer at Hope Capital Property Finance, said: “This is more than a series of promotions, it’s a reflection of the strength, expertise and collaboration within our business. As we continue to grow, it is vital that our leadership structure evolves alongside our ambition.

“Formalising director-level accountability ensures we are building a framework designed not only for today’s performance, but for the opportunities ahead.

“With decades of combined experience inside Hope Capital Property Finance, this team understands the business at its core and is already shaping the next phase of our growth.

“I couldn’t be prouder to see such outstanding women leading from the front.”

Cowan added: “International Women’s Day provides a powerful moment to reflect on the impact women are having across our organisation.

“I’m incredibly proud to be part of a leadership team that is driving operational excellence, innovation and sustainable growth, while also inspiring the next generation of leaders within our industry.”

The lender said the new structure is intended to strengthen collaboration and governance while supporting the firm’s long-term development.
