Gateway appoints managing director

National surveying firm Gateway has appointed Pete Hughes to the position of managing director.

Hughes has worked for Gateway for eight years and for the past 3 years has been the operations director, based at the firm’s head office in Chellaston, Derbyshire.

Marcus Radcliffe, chief executive of Gateway and Sonas, said: “I am very pleased to make this announcement which recognises the tremendous contribution that Pete has made to our success. Pete has been with Gateway since it was formed 8 years ago and has continued to deliver exceptional service to our clients and manage an extremely efficient team.

As a business we have grown beyond recognition and Pete deserves to be recognised for the achievements he has helped to deliver. We have a number of exciting opportunities both in Gateway and Sonas and we need to structure the businesses to manage our continued growth accordingly.”

Hughes added: “I’m absolutely thrilled to take on this new role. Our growth is thanks to all the staff at Gateway who work tirelessly to deliver an exceptional service to our customers.

“We have challenging but exciting growth targets and I’m very proud to be leading such an exceptional team.”
