Gatehouse Bank unveils online DIP facility

Gatehouse Bank has launched an online Decision in Principle (DIP) facility.

Open to UK residents, the facility has been developed to improve and streamline the customer journey, enabling UK home purchase plan and buy-to-let customers to independently gain a Decision in Principle at any time.

The online DIP facility will allow qualifying customers to obtain a Decision in Principle in around 10 minutes. Customers will then be prompted to upload all supporting documentation through a secure platform and will also receive immediate access to documents that can be provided to estate agents when viewing and offering on properties.

Gemma Donnelly, head of direct home finance at Gatehouse Bank, said: “We pride ourselves on our customer-first approach and have designed our online Decision in Principle facility with the customer journey at the front of our minds.

“Initially piloted in December, we have been delighted by the positive feedback our virtual DIP tool has received so far and look forward to continue providing our customers with the most efficient and accessible support to help them purchase a property.”
