The firm behind the Financial Services Expo (FSE) London, has today launched FSE Manchester.

FSE Manchester is a brand new exhibition for the financial services industry in the North of the UK aimed to work for the whole advisory community.

It will take place on Wednesday 21 May 2014 at Emirates Old Trafford, the new name for the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club.

The event will follow a similar format to that of FSE London, which took place in October 2013 with over 50 exhibitors and over 1,100 visitors attending. As in London there will also be a full conference programme put together by leading trade bodies with a specific focus on the working environment for mortgage advisers following the introduction of the Mortgage Market Review earlier in 2014. A full list of seminar sessions will be released early next year.

Front Events, the events company headed by James Prosser, claims that FSE Manchester has already received strong support from across the financial services industry and that visitors can expect a “large and varied” cross-section of lenders and providers to exhibit.

Prosser said: “The North, and the North West in particular, houses one of the key advisory communities in the UK – however in recent times they have been underserved and, quite frankly, let down in terms of their opportunity to attend quality financial services exhibitions. FSE Manchester has therefore been designed to turn the tide and we will be putting on an exhibition that delivers a strong array of exhibitors plus a conference programme which will educate, inform and inspire.

“Emirates Old Trafford is a fantastic place to hold our first FSE Manchester event offering easy transport links, plenty of parking and a venue which is state of the art. Plus visitors will be able to look out across the Old Trafford cricket pitch at what should be the start of our summer. All in all, advisers active in the region should pencil the 21st May next year into their diaries and make sure they visit an exhibition which has been designed with their needs in mind and will provide them with a raft of potential opportunities to take away. After the success of our London show last month we are excited to be taking FSE to Manchester and look forward to having all members of the financial services industry joining us on the day.”

Robert Sinclair, CEO of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) and the Association of Finance Brokers (AFB), added:
“Following the success of Financial Services Expo in London, it is crucial that the North has access to such events. Brokers need to be able to meet lenders, insurers, suppliers and other brokers at a convenient venue. The opportunity to attend the seminars with CPD accreditation also adds to the clear benefits of such an event.

“The North is home to an important part of our industry and we need to provide support as we move back out of the crisis that has challenged us for the last five years.”
