The Financial Intermediary & Broker Association (FIBA) has announced that HSBC has joined the trade association as a lender partner.

The partnership will offer FIBA members access to HSBC’s broker business team, which provides support for customers with all aspects of growth including property acquisition, capital investment, and business expansion.

FIBA’s members will have access to a dedicated relationship manager at HSBC.

Martin Reynolds (pictured), chair of FIBA, said: “The addition of HSBC to FIBA’s lender panel is perfectly timed, as it falls at the start of a new year when we’re all looking forward to new opportunity, speed of business completion, and effective solutions provision.

“I’m impressed by the obvious experience and expertise the team brings to developing broker facing business, its speed of approach, and its commitment to the growth of its business finance solutions.

“I’m delighted to welcome HSBC to the lender panel and am certain this will be strong working partnership which will deliver a range of benefits to our members.”

Ian Coulson, head of commercial brokerage at HSBC, added: “FIBA works to continuously improve the quality and consistency of the intermediary market, making it easier to do business while strengthening broker/lender relationships. Under this new partnership, FIBA members are now able to join our commercial panel, enabling us to support more businesses across the UK.

“At HSBC, we are focussed on supporting trading businesses with all aspects of their growth strategy. Our teams of relationship managers, based across 15 areas nationally, have the expertise to work alongside both client and introducer to find the right funding solution.

“They demonstrate strategic thinking and thought leadership underpinned by innovative commercial products and solutions.”
