Countrywide Surveying Services to bring industry leaders together for Future Insight Forum

Countrywide Surveying Services will host senior figures from the mortgage, lending and property sectors in London next week for its annual Future Insight Forum.

The event, organised by Countrywide Surveying Services (CSS), will take place at the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple on 10 June and will focus on the key issues shaping the property market, valuation sector and wider homebuying process.

The forum will bring together lender representatives, surveyors and property risk professionals to discuss market trends, technology developments, valuation practices and the growing role of home condition surveys.

The programme will begin with a housing market update from Aneisha Beveridge, group head of research at Connells Group, who will provide insight into market activity during the first part of 2026.

Graham Closier, group mortgage development director at Connells Group, will then examine current lending trends, borrower behaviour and prospects for the mortgage market in the months ahead.

Delegates will also hear from Jean Coughlan, home conveyancing director at Connells Group, and Tim Muir, project manager at Connells Group, who will introduce The Property Transaction Network. Their session will explore how greater collaboration and connectivity across the homebuying process could help reduce delays and improve efficiency for consumers.

A session focused on customer outcomes and quality standards will feature Steve Lees MRICS, associate director, technical services at Countrywide Surveying Services, who will discuss the relationship between professional standards, Consumer Duty requirements and consumer trust.

Helen Stead, head of Countrywide Home Surveys, will also outline the increasing importance of home condition surveys within the property transaction process.

The event will conclude with a panel discussion and closing remarks from Kharla Mullen, chief commercial officer at Countrywide Surveying Services.

Matthew Cumber, managing director at Countrywide Surveying Services, said: “One of the biggest challenges facing our sector is ensuring innovation delivers genuine improvements rather than simply adding another layer to an already complicated process.

“The Future Insight Forum creates an opportunity for lenders, surveyors and property professionals to share knowledge, challenge conventional thinking and focus on the practical changes that can make the property and lending journey work better for everyone involved.

“As lending, valuation and property risk become increasingly interconnected, it is important that the industry continues to have open conversations about the issues affecting decision-making, efficiency and customer outcomes.

“By bringing together a range of perspectives, we can help identify solutions that deliver meaningful benefits across the market.”

A limited number of places remain available for the event.
