Julie Hoy has joined the commercial property team at law firm Birketts as a senior associate.

Hoy (pictured) is based at the firm’s Ipswich office but supports colleagues across Birketts’ four offices, in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Ipswich and Norwich.

She said: “I am delighted to be joining Birketts which has become recognised as a top UK law firm with one of the largest dedicated property teams.”

Chris Schwer, partner and head of Birketts’ property division, said: “Julie is a fantastic addition to the team. Her experience covers all aspects of commercial property transactions. She has acted for a wide variety of public and private sector clients, including Housing Associations, financial institutions and property developers.

“She has also advised both landlords and tenants, those disposing or acquiring land, banks and corporate clients advising on the property aspects of corporate acquisitions and disposals and on the refinancing and securitisation of larger commercial and residential property portfolios.

“Birketts has an established department of over 100 property specialists. The team here is one of the most successful and highly regarded within any firm outside London and Julie will strengthen the team further.”
