Valunation Chartered Surveyors has recruited Chris Ellis as its new professional development manager.

Ellis (pictured) has over 25 years’ experience in the residential valuation and survey sector and joins from e.surv where he was head of technical and regulatory compliance.

He will be responsible for ensuring that the professional competence of Valunation surveyors continues to develop, to reflect the increasing demands required of the residential surveyor and valuer.

Simon Davies, technical director of Valuation, a part of the Spicerhaart Group, said: “Chris has a breadth of experience in both corporate and private practice businesses and his knowledge and expertise will serve to further strengthen our senior management team.

“It is clear Chris shares our views on risk management and the emphasis we give to the quality and not the quantity we deliver. We are really looking forward to working with him.”

Ellis added: “I am pleased to be joining Valunation at this exciting time. The people at Valunation continue to enhance the reputation of their business, and I am looking forward to working with Simon and the rest of the team to focus on providing a quality training environment for their surveyors.”
