Ceta Insurance expands specialist boat insurance offering

Published on

Ceta Insurance has expanded its boat insurance offering by adding boat insurance specialists Topsail to its boat insurance panel.

Topsail has insured the sailing community throughout the UK and worldwide for 25 years, providing cover for yachts, motorboats, sailing dinghies, small craft, ribs, sports boats, inland crafts and narrowboats.

James O’Hara, commercial director at Ceta, said: “At Ceta, we enable brokers to cut out the paperwork and quickly and easily compare non-standard insurance quotes – including boat insurance – from an ever-growing panel of specialist insurers.

“While our Boat panel has been established for some time now, we are always looking to expand it, both in terms of the number of quotes we can provide to brokers, but also the level of specialist knowledge we can bring.

“Topsail offers a range of insurance options from basic boat liability to comprehensive marine insurance policies, while its dedicated team of boating enthusiasts are highly passionate and knowledgeable and can boast more than 100 years of combined experience, so it ticks both those boxes.”

Nigel Hawkes, director of operations at Topsail, added: “We are celebrating our 25th year this year and while we are well established in the long distance and blue water sector, we are looking to grow our presence in the local sailing, motorboat, speed boat and inland market.

“As Ceta is the platform of choice for brokers looking to cover non-standard risks, we feel this partnership will help support our ambitious growth plans.”
