Brightstar appoints BDM

Brightstar has appointed Nathan Ellis-Calcott to its external sales team.

He will be tasked with developing more business in the north of England and Scotland

He has over over a decade’s worth of lending experience, especially in the second charge and commercial mortgage sectors, having worked at The Loans Engine and Commercial First Mortgages.

He joins the team headed by Clive Willson, Brightstar’s director of sales and marketing.

Chris Bennett became the first business development manager for Brightstar at the beginning of January and covers the Midlands and the Northern Home Counties.

Willson said: “Brightstar has an award winning proposition and is already extremely popular with introducers. Now we want to reach out to the many other potential introducers who want to engage with us face to face. Having Chris and now Nathan on board gives us a fresh approach to take the Brightstar message directly to the intermediary community.

“Nathan comes to us with a strong pedigree and a reputation for working closely with adviser firms of all sizes.”

Ellis-Calcott added: “I am looking forward to developing new business from the intermediary sector in the North and Scotland. Brightstar offers so much for intermediaries who want to increase the lending options they can offer clients, and I am keen to help them through training and onsite support to ensure their businesses make the most of the many opportunities in the specialist lending market.”
