General insurance provider Uinsure has appointed Louise Appollonio as business development manager for the north.

She returns to the GI provider from Collingwood Executive Recruitment where she was an executive search consultant.

Appollonio (pictured), whose past roles have included underwriter and key account manager for Mortgages PLC, previously worked at Uinsure between 2008 and 2011.

In her new role Appollonio will provide support to brokers in the North West, North East and Yorkshire areas.

Jason Berry, director of sales at Uinsure, said: “Louise has an excellent understanding of the Uinsure proposition and will be able to offer useful hints and tips to the advisers she visits. Her consultative approach will undoubtedly ensure valuable feedback is gained so Uinsure can best serve the ongoing demands of advisers.

“Importantly she can see how far our Uinsure business has come over recent years and we are delighted to welcome her back.

“Louise joins us at a time of a unprecedented growth for the company. In 2016 we have surpassed all of our targets.”

Appollonio added: “The GI market has become much more competitive in recent years and it is great to see Uinsure has now firmly developed into being a market leader. Since my last involvement I can very easily observe the impressive progress made in both the service offered to advisers and the technology provided.

“I’m very excited to be back and looking forward to helping to grow the Uinsure brand even further.”
