Axis Bank UK has appointed Zenzi Tinkorang as buy-to-let manager in its intermediary team.

She joins from Pepper Money where she was responsible for underwriting buy-to-let and residential mortgages. She has also worked as an underwriter at Halifax.

Tinkorang will take responsibility for buy-to-let operations including underwriting, processing support, management of the existing mortgage book and broker enquiries.

Jason Neale, head of buy-to-let business at Axis Bank UK, said: “I’m delighted Zenzi has decided to join us and completes what is now a very strong team in our buy-to-let business.

“Her experience and expertise in underwriting specialist and complex buy-to-let mortgages is obviously a huge benefit to the Bank but more importantly this experience, coupled with a positive, can do attitude and a strong customer service ethic will add even more value to our intermediary partners.”

Zenzi Tinkorang, buy-to-let manager, added: “Having the opportunity to join the Axis Bank UK buy-to-let team is really exciting and I’m looking forward to playing my part in building a lender that will become one of the ‘go to’ specialists for professional landlords.

“The flexible underwriting policy and focus on human decision making gives me the opportunity to use my underwriting experience by making individual and pragmatic lending decisions.

“In addition, providing intermediaries with access to a mandated underwriter to discuss cases with prior to submission is a service I’m delighted to be able provide.”
