ASA bans sale and rent back advertorial

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has banned a sale and rent back advert from Land and Property Bank Ltd.

A local press ad stated “CASH CRISIS? Local company offers homeowners fast solution. STOP! DON’T MOVE. Cash in on your house without moving! Sell and rent back. Large cash sum. Discreet sale. Mortgage clearance. Stop repossession. Guaranteed offer. Make a smart move today. Call XXXXX.”” Further text stated “”… The threat of repossession can often put enormous pressure on families. The simplest way to avoid repossession is to sell your home … More and more people want to release equity in their homes whilst wishing to continue living in the property. The Land and Property Bank will buy your house and you can remain in your house for as long as you require …””.
