Anita Arch has been promoted to the role of senior business development manager for intermediary mortgages at Saffron Building Society.

Arch joined Saffron in May 2013 as a BDM, with specific responsibility for helping to develop the Society’s business relationship with Legal & General.

In her new role she takes overall responsibility for the intermediary channel and the development of Saffron’s distribution network, including management of the Society’s growing broker sales team.

Prior to joining Saffron, Arch had worked in various business development roles for a number of financial services companies including Legal & General, Lloyds Bank Group and Cheltenham & Gloucester.

Sarah Howe, chief customer officer at Saffron Building Society, said: “The role of Senior BDM was fiercely competed for and Anita stood out amongst a pool of talented and experienced external candidates.

“This is a well-deserved promotion and I would like to wish Anita every success for the future in her new role.”

Arch said: “Over the course of the past year Saffron Building Society has made significant advances in the intermediary mortgage market and I’m delighted that I now have the opportunity to help the Society consolidate it’s position in this sector still further.”
