APRIL International has launched MyHealth International, a pan-European health insurance product for expatriates, combining flexible cover, round-the-clock assistance and digital services including a virtual payment card designed to reduce upfront medical costs.
The insurer said the new offering had been designed to support international mobility for European expats and had been structured around four levels of protection.
APRIL International said the plans were intended to serve a broad range of customers, from young professionals on their first overseas posting to families and retirees, with cover ranging from essential protection to more comprehensive worldwide policies.
Alongside medical cover, the product includes assistance services intended to help policyholders deal with unexpected events. These include support during crises such as natural disasters, terrorism, sabotage or assault, as well as help with travel disruption including flight delays or cancellations, lost luggage and theft of personal belongings.
Third-party liability cover is also included.
The insurer is also introducing a virtual payment card through its Easy Claim app, which it said would help policyholders avoid having to pay significant routine medical bills upfront.
The app also includes teleconsultation services and mental health support, reflecting what the business described as a broader approach to healthcare for people living abroad.
Isabelle Moins, chief executive of APRIL International Europe & Africa, says: “Our mission goes far beyond simply providing insurance coverage for the many clients who already place their trust in us, such as Business France in Asia.
“We strive to be a true partner to our policyholders by removing administrative and financial barriers to accessing healthcare abroad.
“Our goal is to ensure that everyone – whatever their destination or situation – benefits from long-term protection and innovative services that genuinely make everyday life easier.”
