Darlington Building Society has launched a life insurance promotion aimed at benefitting the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).

During the period of the promotion, anyone purchasing a life insurance policy will receive £25 worth of ASDA vouchers and in addition, Darlington Building Society will make a £10 donation to the GNAAS.

The GNAAS is responsible for the operation of air ambulance cover across the Northern region, from the borders of Scotland and from coast to coast.

The aim of the charity is to maintain and improve the Air Ambulance Service. This service is the only effective way to transport seriously ill or injured patients to a place of definitive care.

Sheena Hunter, branch manager at the Society’s Northallerton branch, said: “Darlington Building Society is dedicated to looking after local interests and this means supporting our local communities. We have raised vital funds for the GNAAS for many years now and we know all the money raised is put to good use.

“Our life insurance promotion however, not only provides a donation to the GNAAS, the person taking out the policy is also rewarded with £25 worth of ASDA vouchers. Not everyone realises they can purchase life insurance from their local building society so this promotion should help to get their message across.”
