Advise Wise begins ‘Ask Jane’ legal month

Published on

Advise Wise has launched its ‘Ask Jane legal month’ from today (1 October), with special dedicated to advisers’ questions on all legal aspects of lifetime mortgages.

The new Ask Jane legal month episodes will be hosted by Jane Hanlon, mortgage club manager at Advise Wise, who will answer the questions with Peter Barton, partner and head of equity release at Ashfords.

Barton will help cover legal topics from a specialist solicitor’s point of view.

Every week for the whole month of October, a new episode will be released on Advise Wise Upskill web page, as a video and as a podcast to listen to on the go.

Hanlon (pictured) said: “Since we launched the popular Ask Jane series, we’ve collected many questions on legal matters from advisers and we wanted to provide comprehensive answers for our members. For this reason we’ve decided to dedicate the month of October to cover our helpdesk’s most popular legal questions with the precious contribution of Peter, from our specialist solicitors panel.

“With Ask Jane legal month and with Peter’s help we aim to demystify some tricky aspects to generate a better understanding and to support advisers with improved knowledge of the legal process.”

Barton added: “I’m happy to give my contribution to these new Ask Jane special episodes and to work with Advise Wise Mortgage Club to support its members.

“I have worked with Jane as a fellow professional for over 15 years and have always found her to be extremely knowledgeable. What Jane doesn’t know about the equity release sector isn’t worth knowing.”
