Zopa co-founder to be Finance Professional Show keynote speaker

James Alexander, a co-founder and former CEO of Zopa, has been confirmed as the Keynote speaker at the Finance Professional Show.

He was an early player in the peer-to-peer lending sector, helping to create a £100bn global sector and is now a drector at FutureAgenda.org – a global advisory providing foresight, strategy and innovation advice to help individuals and their organisations make more informed decisions and place more intelligent bets over the medium term.

As a forerunner in ‘disruptive fintech’, Alexander will talk about what it takes for established organisations to improve their innovation strategy and be better prepared for the future.

Alexander said: “Financial services is quite rightly having to go through a period of significant change. It is important for finance professionals and their organisations to understand why this change is happening and how they might need to adapt to avoid becoming the new Kodak.

“I’m really looking forward to speaking at The Finance Professional Show to explain this and to share some thoughts on how to approach innovation.”

Now in its fifth year, The Finance Professional Show will feature almost 100 lenders and providers and a CPD-certified multi-format conference programme.

This year’s show takes place at Olympia London on 7 November from 9.30am to 4.30pm and is sponsored by 365 Business Finance, Market Financial Solutions, Octopus Property, Kuflink Bridging, Just Cash Flow, Nucleus Commercial Finance and London Credit.
