YouConvey speeds completions by up to five weeks

Published on

YouConvey has shown it can reduce UK property transaction times by more than a month, delivering faster completions that help mortgage brokers protect pipelines and improve client outcomes.

YouConvey is a collaborative conveyancing platform designed to reduce friction in the home-buying process, giving brokers greater confidence that cases will progress efficiently from instruction through to completion.

New figures from one of YouConvey’s primary legal partners, Rowlinsons Solicitors, show transactions handled through the platform are completing four to five weeks quicker than the current national average, at a time when many UK transactions continue to exceed 20 weeks from offer to completion.

COLLABORIATIVE CONVEYANCING

The improvement is driven by YouConvey’s collaborative conveyancing model, which tackles delays at the very start of the transaction.

Home movers complete key administrative steps, including property information forms, ID checks and initial documentation, through an online portal before a conveyancer is formally instructed.

This early engagement allows legal work to begin immediately, removing the dead time that typically slows cases in their opening weeks and often leads to pipeline uncertainty, repeated chasing and an increased risk of chain failure.

PROACTIVE APPROACH

Alicia Sheath, Licensed Conveyancer at Rowlinsons, said: “We have a longstanding relationship with YouConvey and through several years of collaboration, we have found that transactions handled via YouConvey progress approximately 4-5 weeks quicker than the current national average.

“Their approach is proactive and enables us to progress legal work on a transaction from day one, and one of the biggest benefits in working with YouConvey for us, and our clients, is the level of additional support they provide alongside our own.”

FREQUENT UPDATES

She added: “Updates are frequent, clear and client friendly which means we receive fewer direct enquiries from clients and agents which frees up time to focus on the legal work itself.

“In an industry where delays and uncertainty can often define the experience, working with YouConvey really does help and shows that with the right processes and client care support in place, conveyancing doesn’t have to be a long or stressful journey.”

IMPROVED CASHFLOW

For mortgage brokers, the faster pace of transactions means fewer chase calls, greater visibility of case progress and earlier completion dates, supporting improved cashflow and more reliable revenue recognition.

Eddie Goldsmith, founder of YouConvey, said: “Reducing timescales and making the home-moving process less stressful for customers has been our mission from day one.

“To have one of our main legal partners confirm that our model saves over a month in the transaction lifecycle is a testament to what can be achieved when you empower the home mover and support the conveyancer. For brokers and agents, this means more certainty and much happier clients.”
