Vida has announced a number of key appointments to its senior team.

Helen Cawthra has been appointed as corporate sales manager, Andy Alvarez as national sales manager and Scott as specialist distribution manager.

Cawthra (pictured) has worked in financial services for 17 years in a range of branch and intermediary facing roles. Most recently she worked in corporate sales for both Leeds Building Society and Accord Mortgages, managing a range of mortgage clubs and networks. She also has experience in mortgage broking, running her own business for two years.

Alvarez has worked in financial services for 22 years in both intermediary lending and retail banking. Throughout his career he has held a wide range of roles across operations and sales, with the past 15 years spent in senior strategic leadership roles. He joins from Mansfield Building Society.

Phillips has over 20 years’ financial services experience, most recently as national account manager at Hampshire Trust Bank, and prior to this at One Savings Bank. He has worked with a range of different clubs, networks, and packagers during his time with both banks.

All three will report to John Truswell, head of intermediary distribution at Vida, who said: “I am really pleased to welcome Helen, Andy and Scott into Vida’s sales team. They all bring a strong knowledge of the intermediary market, and I am looking forward to seeing them further enhance our sales proposition.

“This is a very exciting time for Vida, as we have recently unveiled our brand refresh and launched our new criteria and product range. We are focused on growing our business and continuing to strengthen our sales proposition, as we aim to support brokers and broaden the range of products we offer.

“These appointments demonstrate Vida’s commitment to the specialist lending market and will be vital in helping us to continue supporting brokers and their customers both now and into the future.”
