Vernon BS added to Personal Touch panel

Published on

The Vernon Building Society has been appointed to Personal Touch’s mortgage panel.

The local society, based in Stockport, Greater Manchester, does not use credit scoring and instead takes an individual approach to underwriting, offering mortgages for a range of non-standard customers including:
  • Lending into retirement
  • Regulated buy-to-let
  • Interest-only
  • Minor adverse
  • Interest-only retirement mortgages
Vikki Jeffries, head of propositions at Personal Touch, said: “In today’s market where customer circumstances differ considerably and complex solutions are a necessity, the flexibility offered by the Vernon is invaluable.
“I’m delighted to be able to give our brokers access to its versatile approach to underwriting and have no doubt it will be a very much welcome addition to the panel for our intermediaries.”

Tom Gurrie, intermediary sales manager at the Vernon, added: “We’re delighted to be working with Personal Touch who will help us reach a wider audience of local intermediaries that can benefit from our more traditional approach to lending.
“We are keen to work with a growing number of professional contacts and Personal Touch members are ideal partners to work with and achieve that.”
