VAS launches Christmas charity drive to support Teesside families

Panel valuation firm renews its annual festive campaign with backing for two community organisations.

Middlesbrough-based valuation panel VAS has launched its 2025 Christmas Charity Campaign, continuing a now-established seasonal effort to support families and individuals across Teesside.

The initiative has become a fixture in the company’s calendar, bringing staff together to raise support for local organisations during what can be a difficult time of year for many households.

SUPPORT FOR TWO LOCAL CHARITIES

This year’s campaign focuses on two community groups providing practical help across the region: the CAUSE Foundation and Redcar Foodbank.

The CAUSE Foundation prepares personalised Christmas hampers for families and individuals facing hardship. These include food, essentials and small gifts aimed at bringing some comfort to those who may otherwise struggle over the festive period.

Redcar Foodbank provides emergency food parcels and basic items to people across Redcar and East Cleveland who are experiencing financial difficulty.

THE HAMPER CHALLENGE

VAS teams will again take part in the charity’s Hamper Challenge by creating bespoke festive hampers for a nominated family and individual. Each team has a £200 combined budget and will appoint one or two colleagues to lead the process.

Heads of department will supply information about each recipient to help tailor the contents. A prize will be given to the team judged to have produced the standout hamper, adding a competitive element to the annual task.

Completed hampers will be delivered to the Riverside Stadium on four December.

COLLECTION FOR REDCAR FOODBANK

Alongside the hampers, VAS will run an office-wide collection of tinned goods, toiletries and small gifts for Redcar Foodbank. A donation box will be available for staff who wish to contribute.

The company said any contribution, however small, would help support local people facing immediate need.

CONTINUED COMMITMENT TO TEESSIDE

VAS said its Christmas activity reflects a continued commitment to the area in which the business is rooted, supporting organisations that deliver direct and long-term benefit to the community.

Joely Clark, HR manager at VAS, said: “Our Christmas Charity Campaign is a key moment in our year. As a Middlesbrough-based business, supporting local families and communities is incredibly important to us.

“We’re proud to stand alongside CAUSE Foundation and Redcar Foodbank — two organisations doing exceptional work across Teesside — and we can’t wait to see the generosity and creativity from our teams once again.”
