VAS Group hires commercial director

Valuation firm VAS Group has appointed Daniel Owen-Parr to the newly created role of commercial director.

Owen-Parr (pictured) will be responsible for maintaining and building relationships with existing lenders as well as onboarding new lenders in both the short and long term finance markets.

He will also begin to promote the company’s proposition to the broker market.

The role will also focus on the growth of VAS Audit through existing channels and new opportunities.

He has over 17 years’ experience in the property finance and banking industries having held senior roles, including head of field sales for Together, and relationship director and senior bank manager for Lloyds Bank.

Owen-Parr said: “The company has achieved exponential growth in the last few years with a stream of new lenders, an ever-improving panel of surveyors to support both VAS Audit and VAS Panel, a big increase in staff numbers and a burgeoning reputation for service, quality and digital innovation in the marketplace.

“The business is well placed to support its partners in the current climate, and to play an active role in their future.

“As with all entrepreneurial businesses, this has been realised through the vision of co-founders Stephen Todd and Gina May, and my role is to take this solid foundation and drive the company to the next level. I can see ample opportunities, and I’m relishing the prospect of getting out there and talking to the market.”
