United Trust Bank has promoted Rebwar Abdoullahi to business development manager within its bridging and buy-to-let field sales team.

Abdoullahi (pictured) moves into the role from his previous position as business relationship manager in the bank’s mortgage team.

He joined United Trust Bank in 2024 from Tandem Bank and brings more than 16 years’ experience across the property finance market, spanning broking, underwriting, business development and account management.

During his career, Abdoullahi has built strong relationships with brokers and networks, alongside developing detailed market knowledge across a range of lending sectors.

In his new role, he will report to Brad Illman, head of sales – bridging, and will focus on supporting brokers across the South-West and Wales.

His remit includes strengthening intermediary relationships and supporting growth as United Trust Bank continues to enhance its bridging and buy-to-let propositions.

Illman said: “We are delighted to welcome Rebwar to the Bridging and buy-to-let field sales team and he brings a wealth of experience across the mortgage industry, including spending time as a broker. He is professional and personable and his ability to build and manage relationships is a real strength.

“Rebs will play an important role in supporting our broker partners and driving continued growth in what is going to be an exciting and transformative year for UTB.”

Abdoullahi added: “I’m excited to take on this new challenge and I’m looking forward to supporting brokers and promoting UTB as we become a stand-out lender in the bridging and buy-to-let markets.

“With new technology and processes on the way, we are transforming the way brokers can work with UTB, giving faster decisions and delivering more successful outcomes for brokers and customers.”
