UTB launches upgraded broker API to streamline mortgage applications

Published on

United Trust Bank has launched a new and enhanced broker API.

The upgraded system enables brokers to complete mortgage applications with greater speed and efficiency, allowing them to run credit searches, check affordability, upload documents and obtain decisions in principle all within a single, integrated journey.

According to the bank, the new API significantly simplifies the application process and is designed to improve both broker workflow and customer outcomes. Among the key functionalities, brokers can now create applications, select products, use standalone loan and affordability calculators, and upload documentation directly linked to underwriting requirements for pipeline cases.

Buster Tolfree

Buster Tolfree, director of mortgages at United Trust Bank, said the move demonstrates the lender’s continued investment in technology that directly supports broker productivity. “We’ve always led from the front with technology, and this new upgraded broker API once again demonstrates our commitment to developing and investing in technology and processes which make life easier for brokers,” he said.

“Speed and efficiency remain two of the most important factors in completing successful mortgage applications for both brokers and customers, and I’m sure the increased functionality and improved useability of the API will be warmly received by our broker partners. The intelligent application of technology contributes to higher conversions and ultimately helps more customers achieve their property goals.”

The launch of the new API comes as part of UTB’s broader push to streamline its digital infrastructure and support its intermediary network with tools that reduce administrative friction and enhance the overall lending experience.
