UTB hires BDM

United Trust Bank has appointed Gordon McArthur as business development manager for the North of England and Scotland.

McArthur (pictured) will be responsible for developing new broker relationships in the North of England and Scotland while also maintaining United Trust Bank’s existing broker network.

As well as a wide range of wheeled and tracked vehicles such as construction and agricultural plant, buses and coaches, the Bank will also finance performance cars, classic cars and a variety of manufacturing and engineering equipment including CNC machinery. It will consider loans up to £750,000.

McArthur has over 20 years’ in the asset finance industry and was most recently as a self-employed broker working with Anglo Scottish Asset Finance Ltd.

Martin Nixon, head of asset finance at United Trust Bank, said: “United Trust Bank’s asset finance business has grown considerably in the past four years in terms of our lending, our team and the range of assets we’ll now finance and re-finance.

“Our ambition is to maintain that momentum and explore further opportunities for developing our broker partnerships and our offering. Gordon’s appointment confirms our intention to serve brokers across the United Kingdom with a quality, bespoke service.

“Gordon is a highly experienced professional and I’m delighted that he’s joining the team. He has an outstanding track record for developing new territories and delivering high levels of business and his in-depth knowledge of the HGV sector will also be extremely useful to the team.”
