UTB backs plant hire firm with £900,000 asset finance facility

United Trust Bank has provided a £900,000 asset finance facility to a plant hire SME, enabling the business to expand its fleet of scissor lifts as demand continues to rise.

The deal, delivered through UTB’s asset finance division, was completed after relationship manager Kerry Pickering and senior underwriter Rob Irving worked closely with the introducing broker to shape a package that met the client’s requirements.

The bank said its long-standing relationship with the broker helped streamline underwriting and provided early confidence that the transaction would proceed.

The business, which specialises in supplying access equipment, plans to use the funding to increase availability for customers who have been stepping up orders in recent months.

UTB said the facility was structured to support the firm’s growth plans while giving it the flexibility needed for future expansion.

Pickering (pictured), business development manager – asset finance at United Trust Bank, said: “UTB has an appetite for all manner of proposals, from £50k flow deals to complex multi-million pound acquisition and refinances.

“At UTB we understand that strong broker relationships are the key to successful outcomes, especially on larger and more complex deals.

“We value the knowledge and skills a broker brings to a transaction and the trust they place in us to deliver a great solution for their customers.”
