Uinsure unveils #QualityMattersMost campaign

Uinsure has launched a campaign to promote greater quality in the general insurance sector.

Following on from its Protect or Neglect campaign, launched in 2017, the ‘Quality Matters Most’ push aims to highlight the importance of high standard cover in order to offer clients suitable protection.

The launch comes as Fairer Finance and The Finance Association released a report entitled Misbuying Insurance which called for better price competition, fairer ratings, smarter communications and “holding insurers to a higher bar”.

The report found some products fall well short of the cover levels required and claimed customers are largely disengaged in the insurance buying process.

Jason Berry, director of sales at Uinsure, said: “When we launched our Protect or Neglect campaign our aim was to encourage more mortgage brokers to offer protection to their clients, as part of a holistic, TCF-compliant service. I’m pleased to see the number of brokers engaging with GI has improved however it’s not enough to offer cover, quality has to be a priority.

“Insurance is sometimes hard to sell, and some borrowers will use Comparison Sites to find products and are buying purely on price. This is rather worrying, as many homeowners are finding themselves under-insured when the worst happens.

“We want to encourage Brokers to understand the importance of quality and to recognise the features a quality product and service should provide.”

Uinsure will be undertaking a series of webinars, social media video sessions and roundtables, along with offering online competency tests and face to face training as part of the campaign.
