Uinsure and Optimus agree partnership

Optimus has announced a new partnership with Uinsure to integrate home insurance into the Optimus platform.

The collaboration aims to enable advisers to instruct both conveyancing and an insurance referral in a single, “friction free” journey at the relevant stage of a mortgage application.

Advisers can co-ordinate the two services which are integral to completing a mortgage. For advisers’ clients, the integration means that insurance can be offered at a key moment in the homebuying journey, as the legal process commences.

Martin Schultheiss (pictured), Uinsure’s chief commercial officer, said: “Both insurance and conveyancing are necessities of any mortgage but both elements have often been overlooked and not consistently offered by mortgage firms.

“The integration with Optimus means that insurance can be referred at the same time as instructing a solicitor, and the progress of each referral can also be tracked online.

“We’re very much looking forward to launching the partnership as we continue to innovate in order to meet our long-term mission of removing the complexity of insurance for advisers and their clients.”

Alan Young, managing director at Optimus, added: “Uinsure is a quality partner for Optimus and by working together it offers a transformative, strong and dependable digital journey for advisers. Advisers can instruct conveyancing and immediately refer to Uinsure, without having to deviate or seek quotes from other providers or platforms.

“It essentially brings insurance and conveyancing into one place, stripping out the administration and time spent managing separate systems.”
