Transactional boost for Mortgage Trading Exchange

The number of weekly mortgage transactions processed via the Mortgage Trading Exchange (mte) has reached their highest recorded figure since March 2008, the firm has reported.

A succession of consecutive increases over the past 15 weeks has indicated a steady increase in overall activity across the UK mortgage market, which saw 5,413 mortgage transactions being processed on the mte by mortgage intermediaries during the seven day period to 21 August, 2011.
