Together strengthens development finance team

Together has appointed a new head of development funding.

Ian Pickering, who has worked for the business before, has over 25 years experience in financial services and joins from Aldermore. His expertise spans bridging finance, development finance, underwriting and commercial recoveries.

Pickering (pictured) said: “Together is enjoying strong growth and I am really pleased to be heading up the development funding team. Having worked at Together previously, I know the business well and have a broad understanding of all areas of commercial lending.

“One of the things that drew me back to the business was Together’s common sense approach, as it’s very different to the mainstream finance providers, which can often be quite constrained in the commercial space.”

Marc Goldberg, commercial CEO added: “I’m delighted to welcome Ian back to the business and know his extensive experience will be a great asset. Our commercial growth plans span all areas, including development finance, and we’re looking forward to working with even more commercial customers to deliver the funding they need for their development projects.”

Ritchie Watson, previously head of development funding, has been promoted to lending director and will focus on larger lending transactions between £500,000 and £10m, covering all sectors of commercial and residential property, land and development throughout the UK.
