TMA Club has announced the launch of it is new anti-fraud webpage.

In conjunction with the national Take Five fraud awareness campaign, the website includes access to the Take Five toolkit, providing interactive tests to help spot fraudulent activity, helpful videos for intermediaries, and numerous visual supports to aid in staff training.

The launch of the website comes after a recent conference speech by Andrew Bailey, chief executive at the FCA, when he identified tackling financial crimes as one of the seven priority areas in the mortgage market to have the greatest impact on the sector.

TMA’s latest launch follows the launch of its Knowledge Base earlier this year; it is a resource for advisers that includes guides, FAQs and infographics on the topic of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It also comes alongside the clubs brand new online training and CPD management system, whereby Directly Authorised firms can ensure their firm and staff are up to date with regulatory changes.

Lisa Martin, development director at TMA, said: “Many of us have heard of, or have even personally experienced, unfortunate scenarios whereby friends, family or businesses have been subjected to targeted criminal, financial activity. At TMA, we believe in supporting the education of intermediaries, by providing them with tools to provide the best possible service, knowledge and advice to their customers.

“Whilst our advisers already provide expert advice to their clients, simplification and support is always hugely welcomed and our endorsement of the Take Five campaign is testament to our commitment to our Directly Authorised Intermediaries.”
