TMA seeks to inspire the mortgage industry

Published on

TMA is embarking on a campaign to inspire the mortgage industry.

It has been talking to advisers, lenders, providers and other people across the industry to ask them what inspires them as individuals to do what they do.  Their responses can be found on a ‘wall of inspiration’ on a dedicated TMA website at: www.TMAclub.com/inspired.

People across the industry are encouraged to contribute on Twitter, LinkedIn and on the dedicated website with details of who or what they are inspired by.  New and existing TMA members can also receive a choice of inspirational book titles.  New members just need to register on TMA to receive their book, while existing members can order their book on the website.

Lauren Bagley, marketing manager at TMA, said: “It has been really interesting to find out what inspires and motivates our industry peers. We all know ‘what we do’ but it’s really important that from time to time we all take a step back and think ‘why we do it’ i.e. what is our purpose or our belief and what makes us passionate about it? Only then can we measure our success.

“At TMA we want to use these motivational thoughts from our industry to challenge the status quo and inspire people to try new ways of doing things, as we recognise that many advisers and DA firms use their current mortgage club because they always have done so or through habit.  Our aim is to match the ambitions and aspirations of our members by providing a service and proposition that continually evolves just as advisers have to.”

David Copland, director of TMA, added: “We want to show how we can make a difference to DA businesses and redefine how a mortgage club is typically perceived by ‘giving something back’. Whether it’s rewarding loyalty with profit share, taking time to understand individual businesses with face to face support or paying some of the best rates in the market.””
