Three more top lenders back Take Me Home Christmas charity concert

Support is flooding in for the mortgage industry’s biggest charitable event of the year as Dudley Building Society, Paragon Bank and Shawbrook Bank today pledge their backing for the Take Me Home Christmas Charity Concert.

The event – the brainchild of Mortgageforce UK managing director Kevin Duffy – has already captured the imagination of the sector.

Of the original 25 sponsorship packages available, only three remain, with audience numbers close to capacity at 300.

Duffy told Mortgage Soup: “We’ve been astounded by the take-up rate for the concert.

“Of the original 25 sponsorships available, only three now remain and we are almost sold out for the 300-strong attendance capacity.

“I would encourage any last-minute enquiries to go to michelleb@mortgageforce.co.uk in the next 72 hours.”

FESTIVE HIGHLIGHT

Set for November 26th, the concert promises to be a festive highlight, blending star power from London’s West End with the homegrown musical talents of the mortgage industry itself.

Lois Ashcroft, key account manager at Together Money (main picture, inset), Lea Karasavvas of Prolific Mortgage Finance, industry consultant Paul Brett and Coreco managing director Andrew Montlake are all confirmed to take to the stage alongside professional performers.

UNITED BEHIND THE CAUSE

The three latest sponsors all highlighted the importance of the event in addressing housing insecurity and supporting vulnerable communities.

Louisa Sedgwick, managing director, mortgages, at Paragon Bank, said: “A safe and comfortable home is not a ‘given’ but it is a necessity.

“The Paragon Mortgages team are very happy to be supporting this enormously worthwhile charity.”

Rob Oliver, distribution Director at Dudley Building Society, added: “We are delighted to support this charity event.

“As a mutual building society, it’s an important part of our DNA to support local communities.”

Mark Hollands, Shawbrook

And Shawbrook’s Mark Hollands said: “We are delighted to attend the Take Me Home Christmas Charity Concert on November 26th and it’s great to see the mortgage world unite powerfully behind a cause that truly matters.

“In an industry where we often debate numbers, products and margins, it’s important to remember that we have a responsibility to help those not so fortunate as ourselves.”

UNITED EFFORTS

The event follows the success of the Ukraine Aid concert in 2022 which brought together the mortgage industry to raise tens of thousands of pounds in humanitarian support.

Beyond the music, the evening will also be a powerful networking opportunity for the sector.

Last year, nearly 136,000 young people in the UK sought help from their local council due to homelessness.

Funds raised will provide direct support and prevention programmes in London and nationwide.
