The Vernon appoints new BDM

The Vernon Building Society has appointed Caroline Shard as a business development manager in the broker team.

Shard (pictured) has worked at the Stockport-based mutual for 14 years, most recently as an underwriter.

She joins intermediary sales manager Tom Gurrie and mortgage business development manager Kevin Baggs to help mortgage intermediaries find funding solutions for all their clients.

Shard said: “I can’t wait to get started in this new position, supporting the growing intermediary mortgage team at Vernon.

“It’s an exciting time to be part of this small but ambitious mutual and I look forward to meeting and speaking to brokers about their clients’ mortgage needs.”
