Teachers Building Society has introduced an option to add arrangement fees to the mortgage.

The mutual says the new feature is in response to feedback from brokers.

“We listen to the feedback that brokers give us and this new feature is one of several measures being introduced in response to such feedback,” said Alan Gravett, head of sales and marketing at Teachers Building Society.

“We’re also developing an online application submission for brokers and are to review the supporting documentation that we request.

“Introduced mortgages are already a significant proportion of new business following our launch into the broker channel a year ago, and we’re delighted with progress so far.”

The Teachers has also introduced a £99 booking fee for all applications.
