The Swansea joins Paradigm lender panel

The Swansea Building Society has become the latest lender to be added to the Paradigm Mortgage Services’ lender panel.

Members of the mortgage services proposition will be able to access the Swansea’s flexible mortgage service.

The Swansea specialises in a number of areas including mortgages for professionals and public service employees; mortgages for the self-employed; lending into, and in, retirement; self-build mortgages as well as mortgages for small holdings with acreage and occupancy restrictions.

The lender will also consider semi-commercial properties along with multiple properties on the same title deed.

In addition, Swansea Building Society lends in the buy-to-let, holiday let, bridging loans, and property renovation sectors. It will also lend to those customers seeking to purchase a second home, and those wishing to purchase at auction.

The lender’s underwriters have a full, manual underwriting service and says it looks at each case on its individual merits.

The Swansea lends predominantly in Wales, although it will look at individual cases outside the area, depending on the merits of the case.

John Coffield, head of Paradigm Mortgage Services, said: “There’s no doubting that many of our regional and local building societies continue to offer a fantastic range of mortgage products to clients, and have an acute understanding of their area, which can make all the difference to advisers when attempting to place their case.

“Adding lenders like the Swansea Building Society is incredibly important as it gives our members access to the widest range of providers in their area, while ensuring they work with those who fully understand local wants and need.

“Predominantly operating in South Wales, this new addition to our panel should provide members active in this area with another lender string to their bow, and we’re looking forward to working closely together to help grow mortgage business in that area.”

Martin Lewis, business development manager at the Swansea Building Society, added: “We are delighted to be the latest addition to Paradigm Mortgage Services’ lender panel and I am confident that the Swansea Building Society will be a welcome addition with our common-sense approach to lending, with an individual making the decision not a computer.”
