The Skipton expands telephone BDM team

Published on

The Skipton Building Society is growing its telephone business development team.

The move brings the team to five with plans to increase this number again in 2020.

The team is headed up by Simon Tipton, who has been with Skipton Building Society for 15 years, including three as a business development manager BDM.

He said: “I’m looking forward to growing the team even more and offering an elevated service to intermediaries in a challenging mortgage market.

“We now have five in the team with plans to increase this number next year, which means brokers will have even more telephone business development managers at the end of the phone to support them.

“The new members will strengthen our existing broker support team and provide a much-needed service when timescales are tight and customer service is priority.”

Danny Belton, head of lender relationships at Legal & General Mortgage Club, added: “A good telephone BDM team that supports the BDMs in the field can make a big difference to a lender’s proposition. It’s great to see Skipton investing significantly in their telephone BDMs as they look to improve their help and support to advisers.”
