The Newbury Building Society has signed a five-year managed service contract with Sopra Group Solutions UK to take its Mortgage and Savings Suite (MSS).

The project to implement the solution across its 11 branches is scheduled to go live within 12 months of the start of the project.

Sopra Group Solutions provides software solutions for over 45% of the UK’s building societies.

Phillippa Cardno, assistant general manager, customer services, from Newbury Building Society, said: “The overriding objective of this project is to provide the Society with the most appropriate, efficient and effective solution, now and for the future.

“The Sopra Group solution is a proven system, and will be able to provide us with the functionality and flexibility our business needs. However, with such a business critical project, it was just as important that we felt comfortable with the chosen partner and had confidence in their ability to deliver the project on time and to budget.”

Elliot Howard, director of Sopra Group Solutions UK, added: “We are delighted that Newbury Building society has chosen to return to our platform. We have proven that we are the market leader in the UK and believe we are best suited to meet their requirements today and into the future. We look forward to growing our relationship and contributing to the Society’s future success.”
