The Monmouthshire reveals divestment of personal insurance business

Thomas Carroll Group has acquired the Monmouthshire Building Society’s personal insurance business.

With nearly 50 years’ experience placing personal and business insurances, Thomas Carroll Group is an independent provider of insurance broking, wealth management and health & safety consultancy.

This partnership followed a strategic review of operations by the Monmouthshire Building Society, whereby a decision was made to focus on growing its core business, whilst still being able to offer services such as home insurance that add value for its members.

Alison Davies, managing director of Thomas Carroll Private Clients, said: “For many years we have enjoyed a close working relationship with Monmouthshire Building Society and are privileged to be acting for their members.

“From Thomas Carroll’s Newport office in Clytha Park, our local and dedicated team of Chartered insurance brokers are committed to working with Monmouthshire Building Society and our proximity enables us to work side by side with all branches.

“We look forward to assisting with service development plans and providing additional value for new and existing customers. Should this read members? Our partnership will ensure the same high levels of ongoing support and expert advice that the client base have come to expect.”

Will Carroll, chief executive officer at the Monmouthshire Building Society, said: “Thomas Carroll’s reputation is well known to us, we recognise and trust their status as a leading Welsh broker. I am confident that this relationship will benefit our members, by providing independent advice and competitive home protection cover.”
