The Marsden joins Brilliant Solutions panel to widen later life and expat lending access

Marsden Building Society has joined the Brilliant Solutions lender panel, expanding the range of specialist options available to intermediaries.

The partnership brings the Society’s later life and expat lending products onto the Brilliant Solutions panel, broadening support for cases that fall outside mainstream criteria.

Intermediaries working with Brilliant Solutions will now have access to Marsden’s later life and expat propositions, underpinned by a manual underwriting approach that focuses on individual circumstances rather than automated credit scoring.

The Society offers three product ranges aimed at clients aged 55 and over who are approaching or already in retirement: Later Life, Retirement Interest Only and Lending into Retirement.

For expat borrowers, Marsden provides Expat Residential and Expat buy-to-let solutions. Both ranges benefit from a recently enhanced country exclusions list, designed to support a wider range of overseas cases.

Katie Broome, product manager at Marsden Building Society, said: “We’re excited to join the Brilliant Solutions panel. At the Marsden, we believe in a practical approach to lending, where every case is assessed individually rather than relying on a checkbox process.

“Partnering with Brilliant Solutions allows us to extend our approach to more intermediaries and help clients who don’t fit the typical ‘computer says no’ model.”

Michael Craig, Briliant Solutions

Michael Craig, managing director at Brilliant Solutions, added: “We’re pleased to welcome Marsden Building Society to our lender panel. Their expertise in niche markets, combined with their commitment to manual underwriting and a personalised service, makes the Society a great fit for our club members.

“We’re always keen to work with lenders who can support on unique cases, and we’re confident the Marsden will be a valuable resource for advisers seeking solutions in these specialist markets.”
