The Leeds supports Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal

Leeds Building Society’s branches are supporting Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal this March.

The mutual’s branch network is encouraging their customers to take a daffodil for a suggested donation of £1.

Three Leeds Building Society colleagues have volunteered to join Marie Curie to help the charity collect and raise funds via the daffodil campaign. One of the volunteers, pictured, was Christine Matthews from the Society’s customer liaison team.

Siobhan Drane, Marie Curie’s partnership manager, said: “The Great Daffodil Appeal is our biggest annual fundraising campaign. Every donation made in return for a daffodil will help us to care for terminally ill people in their own homes and our hospices.

“It will also enable us to provide support to their families. We are really grateful to Leeds Building Society for their continued support.”

Trevor Garside, Leeds Building Society’s head of direct distribution, said: “The Great Daffodil Appeal is always very popular with our staff and customers.

“We are looking forward to welcoming people to our 65 national branches to make a donation for a daffodil, and hope to see many people in the areas around these branches proudly displaying a daffodil.
