The Leeds supports Children in Need

The Leeds Building Society is holding a number of events on Friday 16 November to support the 2012 BBC Children in Need Appeal.

The public can make a donation towards Children in Need at any of Leeds Building Society’s 65 branches in the UK.

The mutual is having a ‘dress down day’ where staff in Head Office and branches will donate £2 to the Children in Need Appeal to wear their own clothes for the day.

For the more adventurous a ‘dress up day’ is taking place, also in return for a £2 donation, with fancy dress encouraged.

The fundraising in Head Office will include a book sale, and events planned so far in branches are a cuddly toy sale, raffle, name the bear and guess the number of sweets in a jar competition.

Leeds Building Society raised over £13,000 for last year’s appeal.

Alice Buckley, finance administrator at BBC Children in Need, said” “Every year we are humbled by the generosity and creativity of our supporters in raising money for thousands of disadvantaged children and young people right here in the UK.”
