Leeds Building Society’s branches have raised £1,250 for Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal, by promoting daffodil pin badges during March.

These funds will help Marie Curie nurses to provide more free care to people living with terminal illnesses in their own homes across Yorkshire and in the charity’s Bradford hospice.

Siobhan Drane (pictured, right), partnership manager at Marie Curie, said: “The Great Daffodil Appeal is our biggest annual fundraising campaign and we’re extremely grateful to Leeds Building Society and their members for their ongoing support.

“A donation of £20 will provide an hour of nursing care to someone living with a terminal illness, so this generous total will help to provide over 62 hours of care to people across Yorkshire.”

Martin Richardson (pictured, left), Leeds Building Society’s general manager of business development, added: “The Great Daffodil Appeal has again been very popular across our branches.

“Customers have been very generous again this spring, and our colleagues in the branch network also got into the spirit throughout the campaign.”
