The Leeds Building Society has appointed John Hoole as a business development manager (BDM) for Bristol and the South West.

Hoole (pictured) joins the Society from TSB, where he worked as a telephone business development manager. He was previously at Coventry Building Society in a variety of mortgage underwriting roles.

He said: “I’m looking forward to supporting brokers within Bristol and the South West, raising awareness of our brand amongst intermediaries and ensuring that brokers have a successful experience working with Leeds Building Society.”

Martese Carton, head of intermediary distribution at Leeds Building Society, added: “The Society continues to benefit from robust growth in mortgage lending, increasing our mortgage market share for the sixth consecutive year in 2016.

“John’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to strengthening our service proposition to support more borrowers and help brokers grow their business.”
