The Coventry named among UK’s best workplaces for wellbeing

Coventry Building Society has been ranked among the UK’s top employers for wellbeing, securing 20th place in the ‘super large’ category of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Wellbeing list, compiled by Great Place to Work.

The recognition follows a series of awards for the mutual, which has picked up four other Best Workplace accolades in the past year. These include listings as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women, Development, and Financial Services, as well as an overall ranking of 13th among super large UK companies.

The latest award highlights the Society’s emphasis on supporting staff across a broad spectrum of wellbeing needs. Its offering includes access to digital GP services, cancer screening, and financial wellbeing sessions.

In addition, employees benefit from protected time during the working week to invest in activities that support their personal development and mental health.

James Taylor, colleague experience manager at Coventry Building Society, said: “We’re delighted with this result – it’s fantastic recognition of the effort we put into supporting our people.

“We work alongside our colleagues to create an all-round package of wellbeing support, from mental health resources to physical wellness initiatives.

“It’s something we’re genuinely passionate about, and the fact that 88% of our colleagues feel supported in both their physical and mental wellbeing really matters to us.

“We’ve got lots in the pipeline to keep colleagues happy and well, so they can bring their best selves to work every day.”
